The purpose of this blog is to share the challenges that our society will be facing in the years to come in confronting the Maintenance Crisis.<br /><br />What is the Maintenance Crisis?<br /><br /><br />Many experts believe, including myself, we are in the midst of a Major Maintenance Crisis- caused by the millions of retiring skilled maintenance technicians and maintenance professionals, lack of interest by future generations and while companies install increasingly complex new equipment with no or minimal budget allocated for additional training, old equipment continues to age and requires more maintenance. A perfect maintenance storm is brewing, meanwhile congress investigate baseball players veins for steroids.<br /><br /> To get the message out songs and even spoof commercials are being recorded so more is done to prevent more catastrophes, minimize capital expenditures and to help introduce un and underemployed into the maintenance field.<br /><br />As a reader of this unique blog you will introduced to these initiatives, and encouraged to join in.
